How fresh are berries at the shops?

As growers we pick each plant every 2 – 3 days depending on the temperature.

• So this morning we harvest the fully red ripe berries to ensure they will be sweet.
• They are cooled down and packed on farm today.
• And loaded on trucks tonight to travel through the night to arrive at Woolworths in each state as quickly as possible.
• They are then delivered to each Woolworths store the same or following day.

So that really is fresh.
